SALT LAKE CITY — University of Utah offensive coordinator Dave Christensen is reportedly leaving the football program after only one year with the team to join the Texas A&M coaching staff, according to the Deseret News.

Christensen is said to have accepted the offensive line coaching and run-game coordinator position at Texas A&M, according to footballscoop.com. Hans Olsen of 1280 The Zone was the first to report the news Thursday. Christensen was not available for comment Puma Evopower 1 Thursday.

The move to Texas A&M for Christensen would make the offensive coordinator position at Utah once again in transition, with an incoming offensive coordinator becoming the eighth to occupy the position since Andy Ludwig’s four-year stint with the program.

Christensen would be the third member of Tiempo Legend V FG Black the coaching staff to accepting a coaching position at another school following Utah’s bowl win over Colorado State. Defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake and defensive line coach Ilaisa Tuiaki accepted positions at Oregon State earlier in the week.

Documents obtained by KSL.com last week showed Utah’s athletic department had made an effort to re-sign Christensen, Sitake Mercurial Vapor X CR7 and Tuiaki to longer contracts, but all chose to move on to other programs. Utah had Nike Magista Obra FG its most successful season in the Pac-12 this year, finishing the year with a 9-4 record.

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham hired Christensen on Dec. 20, 2013 after Christensen was fired from the University of Wyoming where he spent five years as the head coach. Christensen was instrumental in bringing quarterbacks Kendal Thompson from Oklahoma and Jason Thompson from Wyoming into the program.

On staff is former Utah offensive coordinators Dennis Erickson and Aaron Roderick; however, it is unknown at this time if either of them or any other member of Utah’s current coaching staff will be promoted to fill the vacant coordinator positions.
